Mughsail Beach is one of the most touristic places that we chose for our Khareef 2019 trip.
It’s quite challenging to find a comprehensive recommendation or a list of what to visit in Salalah and around. The best time is obviously around Khareef (monsoon) season, which is an unique chance to experience rain and fog in Oman.

The beach at Ras al Hadd is a breeding ground for green sea turtles. Next to the beach, there are remains of the Royal Air Force airfield, part of a series of stocked landing grounds in Oman. About 60 km away from Muscat, Oman lays a little fishing town called Sifat Ash Sheik. It’s a serene spot, but there is also even nicer one northwest from the town. Al Sawadi beach is an Omani version of Mt St Michelle, France or St Michael Mount in Cornwall. You can try to walk to the island, theoretically possible during very low tide, but the best way is to hire a boat and after a 2-minute ride.
