Al Khalouf or Al Khaluf is a small village between Bar al Hikman and Sugar Dunes. The place is worthy visiting as the port is quite busy and there is an interesting hidden cave best viewed at low tide.

This is a place that I would highly recommend visiting for any nature lover living in Oman. You will spend at least 5 hours driving there from Muscat, so plan your escape well.

Wadi Darbat Waterfall

Wadi Darbat is a beautiful scenic spot in Dhofar, Oman for all nature lovers worth visiting especially during the Khareef (monsoon) season.

Taqah Castle - door

Taqah is a small coastal town 30-minute drive away from Salalah, Dhofar (Oman).

Mughsail beach - West side

Mughsail Beach is one of the most touristic places that we chose for our Khareef 2019 trip.

The trip to Fazayah beach was one of the Khareef highlights. Must visit.

The beach at Ras al Hadd is a breeding ground for green sea turtles. Next to the beach, there are remains of the Royal Air Force airfield, part of a series of stocked landing grounds in Oman.
