Bahrain National Museum, Manama ***

Bahrain National Museum is one of the top tourist attractions in Bahrain. (also starred by Lonely Planet). Opened between 10 am and 6 pm, requires max 2 hours to visit and it is a perfect place to avoid hot weather.
The museum covers four millennia of the island’s history starting with Dilmun civilization (2000 BC) then Tylos and the Hellenic-influenced history of Bahrain, to finally traditional customs, trades and crafts.
Bring cash as the museum doesn’t accept credit cards.

One of the highlights was a 4,000 year’s old Bull’s head, made of copper in the early period of Dilmun era. It was discovered by Danish archaeologists under Barbar Temple. You will see it all over Bahrain as it’s a logo of BFC Bank.
