A secret beach walk near Sifat Ash Sheik

About 60 km away from Muscat, Oman lays a little fishing town called Sifat Ash Sheik. It’s a serene spot, but there is also even nicer one northwest from the town. You need to either take a boat or drive (4WD required) to the trailhead and walk for 30 minutes. The hike, while short, is unmarked and relatively difficult. But the prize of being alone for the sunrise is unparalleled. The place is fantastic for swimming too. You can follow the direction I posted on Wikiloc. The trail is also noted in Maps.Me and MotionX GPS apps. Carry plenty of water as the trail back is 150m up and you will get tired and thirsty.

Check out my video from the trip I took on a hot day in September 2019.
